Overview
This study examines the effectiveness of two forms of therapy on anxiety levels of college student participants. For anxiety in particular, they employ a behavioral treatment of Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET). To analyze Somatic Symptom Disorder, researchers use Mindfulness Meditation Training.
Study Information
This is an interventional, randomized, parallel assignment with the primary purpose of treatment. There is an estimated 120 participants. The study began on July 5th, 2019 and is estimated to be completed by July 2020.
Inclusion Criteria
- All sexes, ages 18 to 65 years old
- University student
- Reported mild or moderate level of anxiety, classified as GAD-7, or somatic symptoms, classified as PHQ-15
Exclusion Criteria
- Those with psychosis
- Non-fluent in spoken or written English Language
