Leaving Unhappy Relationships

Leaving Unhappy Relationships

Leaving Unhappy Relationships
Transcript

If you find yourself staying in unhappy relationships for too long, it's important to develop insight into this pattern and what makes it so difficult to say goodbye. Through therapy, you can identify what are the types of partners you tend to be drawn to and the relationship patterns that you tend to get into and where does this stem from? It's important to understand not only the root cause of this tendency, but also how is this continuing to happen in your life? What are the factors that lead you to stay in this relationship? Sometimes (but not always) staying in unhappy relationships has to do with putting other people's needs over your own or concerns and questions about self-worth. Therapy can help you sort these out and gain more insight and also improve your self-worth and improve your ability to put your needs first and identify what you need in relationships.
